A faucet can always be tightened,

but the cracks beneath... will still leak.

Set during the May 1998 riots, Hui Jia follows a three-generation Chinese-Indonesian family in crisis when the youngest granddaughter does not return home. As her father, Ah Liang, vows to find her, the violence outside exposes long-buried resentment and unspoken thruths within the family. The family is left to question what it truly means to protect a family, and if "home" can still exist when everything else has been torn apart.
